On September 29th and 30th, we had the opportunity to participate in two events where we shared our research group’s experience applying Artificial Intelligence and Extended Reality.
Representing the ADMIRABLE RESEARCH GROUP and XRAILAB, our colleague Andrés Bustillo Iglesias took part in the 9th Congress on Occupational Risk Prevention in Public Administration on the 29th. During his presentation, titled “Possibilities of Artificial Intelligence in Occupational Risk Prevention Training within Virtual and Extended Reality Environments,” he shared the key insights gained through the REMAR project at the University of Burgos.
The following day, alongside Luis Araus Ballester, he participated in the seminar “Immersive Technologies for the Conservation and Dissemination of Historical Heritage,” organized under the Centr@Tec4 initiative. Together, they showcased several collaborative projects between the University of Burgos and the Museum of Burgos, focusing on heritage digitization, virtual reconstruction, and immersive VR experiences.
These are two very different fields that highlight how technology continues to help us improve both professional training and cultural outreach. We want to thank both organizations for the chance to share our work and for continuing to foster spaces where research, technology, and society can intersect.
This work was partially supported by the REMAR Project (Reference Number: CPP2022-009724) supported by the Ministry of Science and Innovation of Spain (MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033) and by the European Union “NextGenerationEU”/PRTR funds.
